Our Story

TBT Stress Away Essentials was born from a deeply personal place — the exhaustion, tension, and quiet longing for restoration that so many of us carry through long days and longer nights.

As a working mother and hair braider, I understood firsthand what it means to pour yourself into everything and everyone around you, often leaving little left for yourself. My son suffered from severe eczema that would flare up badly every time the seasons changed. I tried everything — prescribed creams, store-bought products — but they either came with harsh chemicals, side effects, or simply didn't work. So I did what mothers do: I figured it out myself. I started making his creams from scratch, using natural ingredients I trusted. Slowly, his flare-ups became less frequent. Then they stopped altogether. My son no longer has eczema problems. That was my first proof that what I was creating was real.

Around the same time, long hours of braiding had taken a toll on my hands — I was suffering from carpal tunnel that made every shift harder than the last. While searching for relief, I began crafting oil blends for my hair clients during hot oil treatments, praying for a way to bring them deeper peace and restoration. That's when something unexpected happened: the oil that was meant to nourish their hair began healing my hands. The carpal tunnel pain I had carried for years disappeared.

I knew then that this wasn't just an oil. God had given me the formula.

I began crafting my oils in 2017, and over the years watched them do things I couldn't have planned: healing my son's eczema, speeding up my own recovery after my finger was amputated in 2022, and helping heal my mother's 3rd degree burn in ways that left us speechless.

I relocated from my beloved Detroit, MI to San Antonio, TX in 2021, and by 2022 had officially founded TBT Stress Away Blessing Oil LLC — carrying their love and their belief in me into every product I make.

In 2024, after five years working at a plant, I heard God say clearly: "It's time. My people are suffering." I was in the middle of my own grief — having lost my mother, my aunt, and my cousin within weeks of each other. Three of my biggest cheerleaders. Three women who always pushed me to get my products out into the world. Losing them broke me open — and it also set me free.

This brand is my obedience. It is my healing. And I pray it becomes yours too.
